We’re so excited to share one of our favorite places with the people we love most. We know that Mazama isn’t the easiest place to travel to, and want to make getting here as easy and cost-efficient for everyone as possible*.
Below is a breakdown of a range of lodging options in the area (most of which we’ve stayed at ourselves over the years and can confidently recommend). You can also explore Airbnb and VRBO. We’ve created an Airbnb wishlist with additional cabins that are in close proximity.

Calling Mazama a town is a bit of a stretch—think of it more like a base camp. There’s an amazing general store, bakery, gas station, outdoor supply, and a couple hotel restaurants.
It’s far from desolate, but if you’re looking for a proper main street with shops, restaurants, and a traditional supermarket, you’ll need to head into Winthrop, about 20 minutes down the road (which we recommend doing anyway—it’s incredibly cute). We’ve included a handful of places to stay there, as well.
Check out our map for the weekend to orient yourself to the valley and see where the places listed below are situated. (We’ll add our favorite shops/hikes/activities as well as travel info to this as we get closer to the event.)
Anywhere located in Mazama proper will be a short walk, bike, or drive to/from our main venue/hub (either along the MVSTA trail system or via Highway 20, which is the main route connecting the entire valley), and within easy access to coffee, baked goods, and specialty groceries.
As mentioned, Winthrop is also a great option—just a bit more of a drive to where we’ll be.
